Premium Brembo calipers

Brembo monoblock Stylema® calipers refine braking performance with a slimmer piston and brake pad area, compared to conventional calipers, as well as being lighter, more rigid and offering enhanced control in braking input. In addition, larger diameter pistons are adopted for increased braking forces allowing you to experience the next level in braking performance.

In addition to the three factory-set riding modes SPORT, STREET, RAIN and the two extra customisable modes, the MT-09SP exclusively features the addition of TRACK modes, enabling you to customise four extra patterns to suit certain track scenarios.

Integrated handlebar switch assemblies enable operation of the MT-09SP’s wide range of functions, including smartphone connectivity, navigation and riding modes as well as exploring menu options. The turn signals are now self-cancelling and offer ‘three flash’ function for changing lanes.

Taking the next leap in technological advancement, the MT-09SP features Yamaha’s Smart Key System. The engine is started by pressing and turning the ignition switch, provided that the smart key is within a specified range. The switch also features a lock and unlock option for the fuel tank cap, further simplifying the riding experience.

Exclusive fully-adjustable suspension

The 41mm DLC coated KYB forks and Öhlins rear shock feature a higher spring rate offering outstanding stability during more spirited, sporty riding. You can fine tune their set-up to suit a variety of different riding situations with the forks fully adjustable for preload, re-bound and compression damping, while the Öhlins shock is equipped with a remote preload adjuster to enable quick changes.

Acoustic Amplifier Grilles

The grin-inducing roar of the CP3 is one of its most defining characteristics, evoking a sense of pure adrenaline with every twist of the throttle. The MT-09SP features specifically designed air-intake ducts which accentuate the high frequency sounds, which are then emphasised by an acoustic amplifier grille on top of the fuel tank, delivering the CP3’s vibrant note directly to the rider.
