On some bikes, like the 2015 BMW R1200GS LC, the battery isn’t easy to access. For the R1200GS, it’s hidden behind the left-hand side panel. On others, it\'s tucked behind fuel tank covers that must be removed just to reach the battery. That’s not ideal when you need to use a Mini Jump Starter, since you can\'t easily connect the jumper cables.
Here’s a practical solution: Access the battery once and install the included battery leads—red to positive (+), black to negative (−). The cables are 500mm long and connect to an EC5 plug. Secure the plug somewhere easily accessible on your bike.
If you ever need to jump-start, just plug the EC5 connector into your Mini Jump Starter; no tools or disassembly required.
